|

Hi
have got a Barco 808 and it has been in clean dry storage for a year or so, I've come to turn it on and no picture,
I have looked into the troubleshooting on the website and have noticed that there is a red LED on the 2nd (from the left) board when it it turn on to stand by
Not sure if this is the focus/g2 board?
note from this page http://www.curtpalme.com/Troubleshooting_Tips_Barco2.shtm
" H and V scan fail problems are indicated by the red scan fail LED on the focus/g2 board. If this LED is on, then your H or V cards are bad. Without substitution, it’s impossible to determine which card it is, so send both in for troubleshooting and testing."
when the projector powers up the light is off , then it comes on for second then goes off then stays on agin.
see image
if any one can tell me if this is the H and V scan that has failed. or weather this is focus/g2 board. or not. that would be great , thanks.

That is the vertical and sync board. Have you selected the right input? If using port 5 check the H and V sync are on the correct connectors. I think that led indicates no sync input. Not 100% sure as the boards in my 808s are different.

You`ll get that red LED if the projector has no signal input. Look here to ID the boards:

Check the red light on the EHT board. If it is on, then chances are your HV quadrupler is bad, or possibly your HV splitter. I`ve got stock of those if you need them.
