philips hue (or others)

Do folks use these controllable dial-a-color LED lighting systems to work in concert with the on-screen video content? Would this even be desirable? I was in local box hardware store and saw them pushing the Philips HUE system. I thought maybe Crabb would have apple-based systems that certainly integrate lighting controls for dimming and on/off, etc.

...for music, just seems like a more sophisticated version of the color boxes and strobe lights of the late 70s...

completely ignorant on this topic, to be sure.

I remember the "Color Organs" you could order via the catalogs. hehehe "Color Organs" heheh Hey I was a kid back then and THAT was funny!
