Hi All.
In preparing to do a full setup on my XG110LC, I understand that I need to null all of the electronic focus controls FIRST, then do an optical focus. How do I reset or "zero" the three focus trimpots on the back of the chassis? Don't I need those to be reset as well so that I can start with the optimal optical focus first before moving on to electronic focus?

For full reset press on the setup remote CTL+NORMAL , then you'll be asked wether load or cancel, select cancel.
The best thing is to leave the electronic focus for the center at zero and set the trimpots at the back of the machine for best electric focus, if needed trim with the menu.

Yes I know how to zero the menu settings. What I'm asking is... Don't the physical focus trimpots count as part of the electronic focus that should be "zeroed" in order to do a proper optical focus, and if so, how does one "zero" a trimpot?

No need to reset those, unless the menu focus range is off. You want to set the main center screen focus to -10 for optimal, and then it's not unusual for the left and right zones to be at +80 or so.
A CRT expert from long ago, Guy Kuo, told me to set the master menu focus to -10 instead of 0, as sometimes you need more range on the positive side with the L and R focus zones.

Good hint, gotta check that out when I'm back home. But I think indeed, that the edge focus is maxed out. Only I don't rember if its -100 or +100.
Oops, to access the focus trimpots the hushbox needs to be opened. Hate that
