TV/Projector: Barco BG809s

There are a few threads on blending or stacking projectors and from what I can see there seems to be more interest in these setups now than in previous years but how many are actually up and running? If you have a Blend or Stack or both perhaps you might say so here including your setup and a comment on your setup. For one I am interested in pursuing either of these so your experience would be helpful. There are members we know that have such setups but are there other quiet achievers?

I use mine every night. Still have the drift between the two sets, but I won't go back to a single projector. Two Barco 909, used tubes, 10' wide screen.

I have blended a pair of ceiling mounted Electrohome Marquee 9500 Ultras since 2008, onto a 12' wide SmX acoustically transparent weave screen. I use the Analog Way hardware blend solution. It's expensive, but very easy to set up. Setting up the projectors, however, to match each other in geometry and grayscale is a bit more of a challenge. If you want a real challenge, try setting up a blend while continuously uninstalling/reinstalling mods.

Stacks are for those who can't blend! Smile

Factory projectors are for those who can't handle a real challenge!! Smile

Well here is one new blender I certainly didn't know about. Its great to see you have had this setup for some time. I have looked at the Analog Way gear it looks great but as you say its expensive. I do have a TVone cr2 7100 that I am going to use. I am thinking of combining this with the Barco SEMU boards I have so the SEMU will do the blend zone and the TVone will split the image.

Athanasios (aka Nashou) (aka Tom) is the TvOne expert. I have never played with one.

Alas, I know nothing about Barco projectors.

I might not be able to help you much.

It could work, Not sure how the blend is activated in the Barcos. But the Tv-one would be used to set the Zoom and the
timings for what resolution you want. I would try 1056 or 1064 x800p @72 or 96 hz.

Athansios

By modulating the contrast.
