|
|
Hi,
is it possible to change tubes of Sony G70 to 90° so that there is a better phospor using.
I try to install at the moment a triple stack, so I think 4:3 relation is not so good than 3:4 for this stack.
If it is possible, please inform me of the steps I hav to do to manage it.
Regards
didaschi

Hey,
I told didaschi it would be a good idea to rotate them because of the tubes aspect ratio beeing close to 4:3.
If the complete picture of all 3 projectors is 2.4:1 (witch is what he wants afaik), and blend zones are about 10%,
you end up with 4 blend zones (one for the left, two for the middle and one for the right projector).
That is 2.4+0.4x2.4=3.36/1. 3.36/3=1.12. Thats the aspect ratio on one tube.
Confirm or disprove my math, as i did now myself.
I calculated a number below 1 for the tubes usable aspect ratio while we were talking on the phone.
Must have miscalculated something.
Sorry for the bad math didaschi, I'm glad you didn't already rotate those tubes. Don't do it (unless I did make a failure again )
Regards, Julian

Hello,
all G70 stand on the ground, so it is not so good to rotate them.
For blending I use Win7, Sapphire 6450 flex card with Eyefinity for horiz. span of three displays and Mediaplayer classic for the shading.

Is there a function in the PC media player software or Video controller to rotate the image sideways? then you can just put the G70's on there sides. If you rotate the tubes you would also have to change the software in the PJ to scan the tube face correctly or rotate the Deflection coil which might over scan the edges and cause damage.

Hi,
I can't put the G70#s on there sides, it's to large. The Room is only 2.20 meter high, so the Sony's are placed on the bottom and I sit behind them.
Mediaplayer classic has a possibility to rotate the image sideway.

Because the PM function does not work:
| Quote: | Moin, wie ich schon geschrieben habe, ich hab mich beim Seitenverhältnis wohl verrechnet.
Du kommst ja auf ein Seitenverhältnis von 1,12:1 pro Röhre, mit 10% Blendzonen gerechnet.
Heißt, du brauchst weder die Röhren noch die Projektoren zu drehen,
da die Bilder auf den Phosphorflächen ja breiter als hoch sind.
Sry nochmal. Gruß Julian |
