|
|
Hey Guys !
I found an Sony VPH D50 HTM for a few euros which is in really nice shape, Tubes look almost mint.
But it has some strange issue...
The Blue tube is overbright with the Bias Control not making any visible change.
You can see on the Photo an Horizontal line under the Grid maybe it helps identify something.
After an hour or so i noticed an high pitch sound around the Area of the Blue tube.
Found a similar thread from somebody else, but itīs not exactly the same phenomena i have thatīs why i opened a new thread. Could it really be a neckboard? Or Tube itself?
Cheers for any advice
Ronald
Btw. donīt mind the Dirt the lenses are full of Dust..

@everyone
If anybody has a similar Issue sometime, i kinda solved it.
The PA Board was the Problem i swapped every other possible part out without solving it.
In the end some resoldering on the PA Board seems to fixed it for now.

@AnalogRocks
I actually did resolder every (really every) solder point on the PA Board.
Thatīs why i canīt really locate which solder point (s) was the troublemaker.

Hey even this info is handy. I did the same thing on my 1252 when it started acting up after a 3200km trip.

Hmm.... i just noticed now after some further testing that the Brightness Controls donīt respond (Contrast works normally)
And i canīt select Input A , Input B (Component and RGB H/V via Lumagen HDP) works flawlessly up to 1080i
I read there is a fix for that on the PA Board again as i recall. (I exclude any bad solder joint)
Anybody can help me locate a solution.
Bad Cap or some IC need a swapout?
Thanx in Advance
