Daniel Craig is back as bond!

The new film, the 24th in the franchise which started in 1962 with Dr. No, featuring the evil organisation S.P.E.C.T.R.E. is back.
Daniel Craig will star again as the iconic Jamed Bond along side co-stars Dave Bautista, Monica Bellucci and Andrew Scott.

SPECTRE - Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion- made its debut in the original Bond film, Dr. No will return in the new film. This may mark a return for the Bond films to the more traditional villains.

Ralph Fiennes will be back as M, Naomie Harris will return as Moneypenny and Ben Whishaw will return as Q.

Sam Mendes, director of Skyfall will return for this installment as well.

Bond will drive a new Aston Martin DB10 for the film.

Scheduled for release November 6, 2015.

SWEET. I LOVE the gritty new Bond films and really like Daniel Craig in the role. Casino Royale was just outstanding... One of my favorite action/spy/thriller films in years. I also really like Skyfall. Quantum of Solace was good too, but probably my least favorite of the three. Very cool, though!

Awesome news - I was just wondering about this the other day. I wonder if this will be a slightly more refined Bond aftrr all he's been through?

Sean Connery is still my favorite, but obviously his Bond is not realistic. He's a lovable rogue who's mainly interested in chasing skirts.

Craig's Bond is gritty, brutal, efficient -- exactly what somebody in that position would likely be. He does a good job of it.

Should be. He lost Vesper, then M, Skyfall is destroyed... He's sort of lost it all, and now that Moneypenny has arrived, I'd imagine this next film will be the transition to a slightly more refined, mature, cool-headed, flirtatious Bond. I like him though, so I hope the new character will still be more new Bond than old Bond, but a little shift in attitude to sort of tie it up would be good I think.

Definitely looking forward to this one.

Cheers,

Wow, that car is gorgeous. And I totally agree...a little refinement with a lot of gritty Bond will be badass.

This series has become so repetitive, I can't see how anyone can sit through them. The Plots are re-hashes of re-hash, the characters are wooden, the action scenes , the endless crashes and jumps and gadgets and stunts, are beyond tiresome. I liked these 30 years ago as a kid on TV, but 24 movies later you couldn't pay me $50. to sit through another one.

Of course if you guys like them by all means, who am I to judge Wink

Of course, you loved Gravity, which featured some of the worst dialog and acting of the year IMHO, so your movie critique street cred is pretty much non-existent for me.

bond lost his charm in the latest bond movies and especially skyfall was one of my least favourite bond films (goldeneye my favourite btw).
that aside, i think people like the old bond style movies more so it`s no surprise they rethought (if that even is a word in english Smile) the course they`re heading.

I don't think they've changed course at all. Origin stories have become incredibly popular in movies, and this new Bond series is taking it much further than any other franchise has for a single character - it's taken three movies to get to the beginnings of the Bond we all know. I think it's awesome because it's realistic - people don't exist as static, unchanging creatures. Even the "great" people in this world start off somewhere and are shaped and changed by their life experiences. That's exactly what we are seeing with this Bond reboot.

awww, I thought you liked all the movie I liked, I'm going to have to un-friend you on FB Laughing

Your opinion demonstrates a typical conservative mind-set, unable to see the Forrest from the tree's. Gravity was revolutionary film-making, but your too blind to see it because you got stuck on some dialogue. Another way of putting it, I'm a big- picture kind of guy , and can admire the entire painting with all it's flaws, while you get stuck on what kind of brush was used to push the paint around Wink

Oh and I would still watch an old bond flock, but starting with Pierce Brosnen, and the everything after, it's like 2 week old left-overs. You can choke it down but always feel a little sick afterwards. Embarassed

Of course, you would have to make it into a political thing. In that case, you demonstrate the typical liberal mindset that it's all about good intentions - never mind if the outcome isn't any good.

Seriously, though... Gravity was amazing from a purely technical perspective. It was stunningly beautiful. The sound was great, save for Clooney's stupid music on the com. But, outstanding CG and effects. I just had trouble with two main things. First, the stupid selective gravity that pulled Clooney away... Jesus, it's a key story element, yet technically it was an epic fail. The other was Sandra Bullock and her barking and constant scared whining and breathing. BTW, I say this as somebody who's loved Sandy Bullock since I saw first saw her in The Vanishing. Funny story... I was sitting there watching The Vanishing in the theater in 1993 next to my then-girlfriend who actually knew Sandy and her sister from Virginia Commonwealth. About 10 minutes into the movie, she blurts out, "Sandy! OMG, it's Sandy!". Smile

Pierce Brosnan was horrible. Just terrible.

I liked Pierce, probably becasue I grew up with Remington Steel. I was disappointed when Timothy Dalton got it over Pierce but pleased when Pierce got it. They are bond movies. Love them with all their flaws! AND kick ass action
