There was something in the manual that you can shift the image for every resolution and than they work but only factory resolutions can be stored in memory. That would mean that after each reset the same shifting has to be done again for 817p? Or do I not understand this well?

This was for Moome's external box? I don't know. I suggest you start a new thread and ask.

Did you ever have one and did you ever make custom resolutions and was it easy with choosing the porches? I see a lot of threads with people trying porches and not getting it right. While the factory resolutions work as a charm.

I've split this discussion on custom resolutions on Moome's ext box into a separate thread...

I did (and still do) have one of these boxes myself but never did any custom resolutions with it. I know it's certainly possible. Having to pick/choose custom resolutions with special porches is only available with an HTPC (using something like powerstrip) or with an advanced video processor like the Radiance, and yes, it can be tricky to get right as not every display likes what it is sent.

Those that have done this/tried this can chime in. You'll have to be specific as to exactly what you're trying to do (what custom resolution, what refresh rate, what porch settings you've tried, how you've tried this, and so forth).

Ok thanks! I was wondering where this post had gone Very Happy

Well I tried 800p (1920x800@60) and I can only make it work on the Cine 9 when I first boot in 1080p@60 and than switch to it. I would also like 800p@72 very much but I could never get that to sync vertical. I tried all timings I could think of in a long range from 10 till 300 or so. Took me much head aches that is why I am a little tired of it Very Happy

I think it is a Barco feature as I could also not get a geforce 9300 to sync but another graphics card went well.

I use positive sync on both for the factory resolutions.

Did you try 1920x800@60 with negative sync?

No that is an idea. I have the Moome sync set with dip switches. I could only get positive sync right with 1080p@60. Will try this again.

The max has the same switchers as the 808s and 1209 cine 8 and more.

I have to shift the image at some custom resolutions and sometimes that does not work. I do use custom timings with custom porches but I tried a lot of them. Perhaps I was unlucky as some porches and sync timings off cause can not work.

Ok tried 1280x720@72 Hz several normal timings with big porches and shifted for a minute but no picture appears. But I do have a not normal situation where the ext moome is build inside and syncs trough the port 3 wires. It needed positive sync to sync at all. Trying different sync options has to be done with jumpers so switching is not practical (whole board has to be removed etc).

Does anyone know if I can make a remote from another moome work with the external? Did not react.

Yes this one is a problematic construction. There is no remote and I can hardly get to the adjust button. There are wires for the sync that probable work as antennes. It disturbes the sync of the internal patterns and I can't start when the hdmi handshake is happening. But stil when she works Cool

I shielded the sync wires and put coax on the RGB and yes it jitters less. Still a very little not noticeable in the seat.
