Tricks like this is good to do on cheap speakers but when you have a 7-800+ dollar set you really don't feel like making them look tacky
I do have a set of old Bose speakers that I plan on upgrading the drivers in them soon so i may try it on them(got them dirt cheap and the woofers need refoaming)

Way too much trouble. I think that dude spent more in caulk than you could buy those turds off of Craigslist.
Drape those P'sOS with a sheer black cloth so you don't have to look at those ugly junkers. Then smoke a bowl, kick back, and enjoy.

It does ring true the statement you get what you pay for haha
Radio shack speakers were budget speakers compared to the likes of infinity and other known name brands
Which by the looks of the woofer is what those speakers are... Junk

I feel sorry for him, I bet he's one of those guys that would you give you the shirt off his back even though he only owns 2 and other one has holes in it.
Should of stayed away from audio, that's a poisonous playground no matter how much money you have.
