actually its a general question about what to to, (after you did the first installation step by centering the picture on the tubes without lenses on), in step two, fireing the pj with its lenses on the first time..

okay okay, so i figured the horizontal line should be perfectly in degree (or paralell to the screen)...okay, it is.) BUT,..
what about the vertikal line; what if it is not in perfect 90 degree to my vertical. shall i do the vertikal "black thread with tape" string in perfekt 90degree to my horizontal line now (how;) or just the way the green horizontal line goes, even if not perfectly in 90 degree to horizontal? its not clearly formulated am affraid HELP PLEASE, AM SITTING HERE AGAIN AND CANT GO ON . /

If you rotate the deflection yoke the horizontal line will turn along with the vertical line, so I'm affraid your should rely on the trusty old NEC's convergence alignment and convergence ability, namely: SKEW and TILT...
Does your projector in level BTW?
Also: If it doesn't bothers you that the the two lines are not rectangular, then leave it alone, otherwise use what you have Smile

hi gjaky

good to hear someone..) well, i live in an old building where nothing seems to totally rectangular and its hanging on the ceeling..so i cant change much there.

you mean when i rotate the yoke the horizontal AND the vertikal rotates...so it makes no sence at all to do so..or do you mean the horizontal line rotates and the vertikal stays...which would make even less sence for my problem, as the horizontal is fine...))

well, i guess i wont bother and so try to make a rectangular vertikal "black thread with tape" string through the "cross".. great, thanks!!

btw. "plains" on a 3 meter diagonal aint so bad at all, even in green.

Not once you get how to do it. For instance, my first set up/calibration on my Sony 1252 took me around 6 hours.
Now I can set one up in 20-25 minutes.
