I mentioned in another thread that I would like to test out 3D again at Craig's place. I figured since I am wearing glasses that it might make a difference in my enjoyment of 3D. Well, the first test was Thursday night. My brother bought 3D tickets to Captain America. I did take a deep breath when I saw that they were 3D, but I figured what the heck.

This was Real3D not Imax. Not sure what the differences are as I haven't followed 3D.

So the previews come on and I get a little nervous as some of them are to in your face. "Calm down, Spanky" I said as I hoped the movie would be better. The opening scenes had me concerned as the 3D seemed a little over the top, but they weren't to bad. As the movie went on, the 3D seemed much better integrated and not to overt. The best thing I can say about it is that I forgot that I was watching 3D.

I need to do more testing, but I have to wonder if it was my glasses that gave me the marked improvement in 3D enjoyment. The other option is that the studios have gotten better about making 3D. Unfortunately, that means it can still be hit or miss. Of course, it could be that I don't care about pic quality anymore. Nah, that can't be it. Razz

As for Cap, I didn't see the first one, but I am familiar with the story. I thought the movie was good, although the Winter Soldier wasn't the main character.
