I have been running my 9500LC Ultra for several years without any problems. It's a great PJ,we have enjoyed tons of movies and sports events.
I'm having two issues.
First, recently, when I first start up the PJ and project a picture everything is fine, 1st image attached. Then it will suddenly project a scrambled picture, as in the 2nd attachment.
If I hit Recall and select one of my Recall settings, it goes back to the normal picture.
This often repeats 2-5 times until the projector is warmed up. After 5-10 minutes it's all good for hours until the next time I start it up.
Second, for quite a long time I've had this issues of narrow black band lines that are the width of the projected image slowly moving up the image/picture. These bands about 1/2"-2" tall, and across the width of the screen. They are black, sometimes white. I think one can be seen a few inches up from the bottom of the 1st attachment.
Could the second issue be a grounding problem, or something else?
Thanks, Tom.

Hello
You are losing horizontal sync there; tarnish on a connection perhaps. Pull the HDM out and reseat all socketed chips and clean the pins going to the small signal board that rides on top of it.

my money's also on the control module. Oxidation, aging capacitors, etc. Board can be re-furbished most of the time, replacement necessary on occasion.

I would also bet on the control module mine failed back in December and caused all kinda of craziness in the set and one was the exact thing your having
200 bucks and a new clm later no problems(I have done 6+ hours gaming sessions with no problems since the replacement clm)
