That's been on Ebay for some time now, doubtful anyone will buy it anywhere near that price. Right now Curt has 3 909/919 equivalents for sale @$6500 w/new tubes installed and lenses included. That one doesn't even have colored C-elements, as is it would look like ass for home theater or gaming. Also it looks like he's selling the lenses and spare tubes separately, and just what are "Minnakin.1" lenses anyway? They sure as heck ain't worth "$7,800 a piece" and never were. If they're the type for curved screens they'd be useless for a normal flat screen. Now Id really like to get my hands on that set of minty tubes for my G90's though.

How available are they and about how much would just a green, as well as a full set go for? I was under the impression that they were not made anymore, and all the old stock has been hoarded. Which is I guess what I'd be doing , I want my G90s to be usable for a loooong time!

9" tubes are in full production in Ohio USA, China, and Japan right now. 8" tubes can be had as well on special order, but the cost is prohibitive for most 8" setups ($1200 per tube without hardware).

Hmm I had no idea that they are still in production, but that's good to know. Are the 9" all $1200 a piece as well? In your opinion, which are the best ones for the G90?

The P19LUG tubes are identical to the original G90 P19LQF tubes. They are the best ones for the G90.
$1200 is about the going retail rate with a one year warranty.

| CIR Engineering wrote: | The P19LUG43HKA is a regular slow decay green phosphor. It's the same phosphor in the LCP, LQF, and LPB. In fact, it is an identical tube in every way to the P19LQF as found in the Sony G90.
The P19LUG has the highest resolution gun and can attain the tightest beam of any of the tubes out there. The P19LUG and P19LQF also have a "scatter grid" to supposedly help reduce noise and improve edge focus. Those are the only two tubes with the scatter grid.
The P19LUG green tube is not available in a P43 phosphor at all.
Any P19LUG tubes (red, blue, green) can be matched well with any other P19LUG or P19LQF tubes of any color. The P19LPB is also a good match for the P19LUG. The P19LPB has the same phosphor and high resolution gun as the LUG, but the LPB does not have the extra scatter grid.
If you are putting the P19LUG43HKA in a Marquee, it can also be used with LCP blue and red tubes, but the P19LUG43HKA will not be as bright in a Marquee as an LCP. You can increase brightness with an LUG in a Marquee with better focus coils (frankenyokes) because you will then be able to raise the contrast higher before blooming.
