this is fine forum thank you all
question
the projector broke one days ago
it sounded like a small spark.
before the device is to have the same kind of sound, but now more often than usual
and a stronger voice
before the picture is not disturbed
Now the last two days the projected image is flipped for a spark but returned seconds later
until yesterday two times, and the last time the unit broke down.
I would like to get it fix.
so what's wrong with it
is there any kind of fault /symptoms list ?
were to find out what is broken ?
All responses will help thanks

This is either a Sony 2020 or a VPH722. It's very old, from 1986 or so, and I've thrown out all of the parts about 2 years ago as I thought none existed any more.
What most likely happened is that you had an internal HV arc which shorted out a part. I'm guessing a shorted transistor or an open resistor on the convergence/V board.
I wouldn't fix this proijector. the 1270 is a much better set overall and 4 years newer. Use it, and scrap the 900, unless someone here has spare parts still. If you are not an electronics tech, you won't be able to get this running without soldering and knowing how to troubleshoot PC board.

I know that the equipment is old
I am still willing to take the challenge and fix the device
It is the perfect device for old game consoles, etc.
This is going to be training
i have a professional qualification of electrical equipment repair
knowledge should not be a problem

one question.
I have heard that the
a small almost unnoticeable sparking sound is typical for this unit?
Sometimes when device starts a rarely heard loud bang,
I stopped using the standby button because it caused this often
when button not stay connected the bang was followed by this
whether these symptoms or normal faults?
is there correction of these faults
:add:
i downloaded the manual yesterday, thank you very much for these

you have a high voltage leak somewhere. the first step is to fix the set, but it should be completely silent. I would wipe down all HV leads with isopropyl alcohol, that might get rid of it, but you may need to change a HV lead or two since they are 27 years old. I have stock of them. If the HV splitter is bad, then unless someone here has a spare, the set is a write off.
