TV/Projector: All of them!

This is a rear projection set, 73", that uses 9" tubes. 1080i only, but the sweeeeetest 1080i you've ever seen on a 73" RP set. It's HUGE and heavy, and is available in the Bay area for $500.

Cliffy still has one, right Cliff?, and I saw an ISF one in the Bay area last week, and loved it.

The ISF guy (Mr Bob) has a client that has one for sale. I haven't seen it, and it has a couple of bad caps on the power supply that the client will change before selling it. this is a common issue with these sets, Mr Bob fixes them, and the client knows electronics apparently.

After I saw Bob's set last week, I had 1/2 an interest to pick up the one from his client, but his client can't pack it up, and it won't fit into my Rav, and don't want to risk shipping the screen...

I can put you in touch with the seller directly, I want no part of it, but this is a sweet 9" tube RP set, Mits' best.

PM or email me if you're interested.

This TV was the one I was trying to buy back in 2006. I missed out on the last one on the east coast. Shortly thereafter I found a CRT projector. Then a search turned up this guy on eBay "audiovideotechnition" and ended up here. Prior to that I was playing with a LCD DIY kit. I wish I could get this one but too far away. Sad

That was the best 73" model that Mits ever made. It's built on the v21 chassis... actually the 73" from a year earlier was pretty much identical but they called it the v19 chassis. the xxx11 series have a fully corrected color decoder through the service menu and can be made to really singe with some EPROM reprogramming through the I2C bus.

This isn't the same quality signal chain as most of the front projection sets that were good for 1080i, but it's a small screen so the image is fantastic.

These sets are not worth much $$$ anymore though so they can be had cheap. I still get calls to calibrate one or two of these a year.

The best 65" set mist ever made came the following year with the v23 in the 65813. It has 9" tubes with color corrected celements. You can get a perfect color decoder response from it as well, but only if you run DVI input.
