Hello
Has anyone come across an unstable blue tube showing shaky patterns. It seems to be getting worse. Does not respond to adjustments using flare magnets.
When looking into the tube face the grid pattern seems to be vibrating visually (best I can describe). Sad

Thanks

Usually it's an HV arc within the HV lead. Try disconnecting the astig and convergence connectors to see if it goes away. if so, then your shaking is coming from one of those circuits, but I doubt it.

Should I do so with the pj running or switch off disconnect and restart?

I did notice a spark earlier when I first turned the pj on. It was in the vicinity of the yoke of the blue. Also the grids are pretty thick until the contrast gets turned down to less than 35.

Well after sitting for 3+ years maybe it needs a good strip and clean.... Embarassed although she always had a sheet over her , covers were off all that time.

Since restart Curt the seems to be a settling down, but still no response from the magnetics. I will reconnect and see if there is a difference.

Went back to original settings, high frequency , put up grid pattern, neutralized magnetics, no shake
at this point but still no response from flare magnets.

I was just doing a basic setup which was never done since purchase because my baby was parked all this time and now that I have some time to fiddle , I'm not a happy camper.
