Got a RX-V671 receiver here that's stuck in standby, red standby LED is on, pressing power or trying to do a factory reset does nothing, it just stays red.

What do we do mac? Razz

Don't blame ya mac, and no, no remote. I was surprised I got all of the receivers though, the way they stacked them on the pallet! Embarassed

I'm just looking over the prints now and here's what I have to say. Unless you get lucky and it's something simple and find it right away, this is a complex power supply. So if we are going to get involved you have to be prepared to give it some time. So let me know now if you time is skimpy.

I have the rest of the week to work on the Yamaha mac, I can't today, computer maintenance is today, something I've put off for a few years. We can do it tomorrow though if you're available Smile

I'll give you a couple things to check and you can let me know tomorrow. I hope this print is the same.

Look for the board that the AC cord goes to. Yamaha calls it the video board. On that board see if there are connectors CB375 and CB376. The pins are not numbered on the print so I hope the board is marked. On CB375 you need to test for DC +3.3v on the pin marked +3.3m. Use the DGND pin in that connector for ground. I'm guessing the voltage will be there since you said the standby light is on.

On CB376 there are 2 pins that are +5.5v and 3 pins that are ground. See if that voltage is there. If the +5.5v is missing look for fuse F3701 and test it. While your in there also test fuse F3702.

If none of these connectors are there then we have a problem. Let me know what you find.
