Is this possible?

What do you think?

Take all the stuff out of the Cine9 chassis and put in all from a 1209s.

The big question is... why bother?

There's many hours worth of work, the convergence trays are completely different, but hey, the tube mounting is the same. Smile

And that's about it.

Most schematics do look the same, the RGB input boards and RGB driver are mostly unchanged. But the pinout is probably different.

a 808 chassis fits right into a 909 the only thing that does not fit into existing holes are the control board above the modules
take the necboard from a 808retroblock and they fit right on the tubes

still to be tested is to plug in a 909 focusyoke to 808 chassis

Similar idea to my setup, 808s electronics and 9" tubes only difference is I am using Sony tubes. Image is great and the 808s electronics are reliable and there are plenty of parts.

So that means P19Lugs are plug 'n play with a BG808s?

Leave all the Hardware attached on the tubes or using the 808s one ?

I can tell you that the Sony tubes are plug and play. I don't use Panasonic tubes so there could be a difference in pin out from 8 to 9. There should be pin out for those tubes on this site. Alternatively if there is a difference then perhaps the neck boards from a 1209s.
