Why do these keep getting posted here??

It may very well seem over priced, but its probably also brand new, and those sets are extremely reliable. I have 2 myself. For comercial use it will easily go the distance of 5 digitals or more.

That may be true, but the fact is that nobody doing legitimate commercial integration work could sell a technically obsolete video-grade projector, 15-20 years old, with no warranty. I don't care if it's new-in-box, it's worth only what a very select few might pay for it, which is almost nothing. There's no "seems overpriced" about it - the price is utterly ridiculous.

The expensive FH Video G90's aren't that ridiculous. Well, a little considering no warranty of any kind and YA boards that aren't that cheap or easy to come by, but still... With this projector though, either Henry has lost his mind, or he's stepped away from the business and has somebody working for him who is clueless.

While I agree, why rehash this subject of FH again and again?

Its new. Dont need tube pics. It was the last set to use the tubes youre after for your ECP.

This is my point exactly, along with the fact if the seller doesnt ask for an amount, they dont know if they couldve got it or not. And im not supporting their price point, but i dont see the sense in posting it here to mock them for it.

Crabb, although i dont do it myself nor do i condone it, but alot of installations here are still connected with composite video and use base model portable projectors, so this Sony would still do everything they needed anyway, the 1001 here did the job very well for over 9 years @ 16hrs a day. While i agree the price is lunacy, in the situation i decribe seeing here alot that Sony is a much better machine for the job, having seen a vast number of digitals that took the 1001's place, none have looked as good mostly due to use of composite video ( although by the end of 9 years it was starting to show ). I just recently re-ran connections to 4x 50" commercial grade NECs in RGB cause they had been done with composite.... From a PC no less... Resolution is up from 576i to 1920x1200.
