I'm betting the 2nd green tube is for better brightness and details since green makes up the majority of what the human brain perceives as sharpness and brightness.

True though I wonder if the second green tube is fixed or has a toe in adjustment like the others

It also has analog controls I hate those as I have dealt with them on projection tvs before(major pita)

They arent an issue on Sony 1001 and 1044, works very well and very quickly set up.

The tv I had that had those was a badge engineered Philips(lxi for sears) it gave great picture quality for the time I had it even after I got through with those controls(it was a early 90's era projection tv)

Only one ive seen like that was a GE, what a heap, wasnt even LC and the convergence pots were at the back!!
