My living room wall has a patio door, and a 3 piece picture window. Lots of day light.
What's a good product that will help reduce the light, but not break my bank account?

The cheapest way is window tinting that you can get at a auto store. If you don't want permanent, then you could make up inserts of plywood that snap into place. I can't screw a screw in straight, so I'll stop giving advice on that at this point.

Or, fancy schmancy are blackout blinds. I've seen a lot of motorized ones at customers' houses that activate when they power the projector up, or you can get manual ones. www.blinds.com I think has them.

blackout cloth from Joanns is pretty cheap.

You can always do an external blind that comes down the outside wall. There's a local guy here that did that. Quite effective.
