Hi guys! Dam these CRT's are addictive (got 4 now ) came across a little cine 6 and well cost me the same as 2 dvd's and it was pretty so... i grabbed it... coming next week ... question There is so little info around about these i really don't know to much about em... found some specs quoting 38 V scan rate is that enough for 720P??? video bandwith is only 20 though??? Still pretty new to these things.. I'd actually be happy with 576P out of it but like i said it was cheap and pretty so its going in the spare room 720 would be a bonus manuals would be great if anyone has one....

Cool! The Cine 6 is one of the neatest-looking CRT projectors by far. And it's SILENT!!! Win!
7" ES I think, and with the low bandwidth, I'd suggest 1080i. Try 720p and 1080i and see which one looks best, but I always like 1080i on my 1271.

Thought she might look a little soft at 1080i and if it supports 720p then bonus!!!!

Kind of depends on the source and what you're trying to display. Yes, it might be a bit softer, but it's a higher (spatial) resolution image to begin with. For film-source content, I always liked 1080i a lot more than 720p. It never made sense to me to throw away a bunch of spatial resolution in the digital realm to get a sharper lower-res picture.
The exception is HTPC where you have small UI elements that you need to be sharp; that's much better at 720p.

hmm ok i think i just processed what your saying lol i'll give it a crack on 1080i then as its going on a screen thats a little overkill for the room and projector but i can get it dam dark so it might be to my advantage ... I'll be running it straight from the the ps3 component out with nothing else in the chain so im going to be hoping for the best as floor space and buget is very limited (and knowhow but im learning) Will be basically dedicated to movies blue ray / dvd i dont really like downloaded stuff...

One of my friend's had one for a short period,. I didn't see it in person, but he told me it is an LC machine, it has zero bandwidth, and it is equipped with the HD215 lens, without outer focus ring ( also found on: zenith pro900x, Barco cine 8 onyx / zenith 1200); indeed very smart and quiet machine, it wasn't made by barco actually it was a contracted chassis, it has one big motherboard, and everythng is populated on that single board. I think he couldn't get stable 1080i picture out of it, but I'm not sure, but the maximal H freq is only 38kHz, so 720 won't work for sure.

Yeah i heard they were actually made in India???
I geuss i'll see what rez i can get it to lock to but anything above dvd is a bonus really...
Question for the Lens Tech heads then.... I have some spare hd6's Non colour corected lens (and i might be able to score a set of corrected hd145) Obviously i know the HD145s are the pick over the hd6's but will i be able to use any of these on the cine 6 and will it be worth my time????

No, as I said above, the cine 6 is an LC machine, but the HD145 is an AC lens, you can't replace one with the other.
