Dear Forum ... I need your help

Yesterday, when I was running the 1208 (S/E 1998) the picture suddenly disappeared ... there has earliere been some warnings where the picture looked like collapsing horisontly just for a split second and then recovered.

When the picture disapeared the pitch (noice) from the PS (powersupply) changed.

Now, the Barco turns on, all lights are green and fans are running but no picture. After approx 5 secound 2 lights turn on red on the EHT board (pictures attached) and the pitch from the PS changes (sounds more relaxed). Everything else looks normal and all other lights are green. (Changing source don't help)

Any ideas are much appriciated.

Thanks
Flemming, Denmark

Bad HV quadrupler, EHT board or HV splitter. No way to tell which one is bad without substitution. If you have access to another Barco you can swap the parts to narrow it down, or send them to me for testing, repair or replacement.

Thanks a lot Curt. That was a super-fast reply ! Smile

Ok. As I don't have the possibility to swap boards I will pack the 3 boards you mention and send to you. Let me know if you need me to send anyting else.

And thank you for a great site and forum

All the best

Hi,

I'd send the H-Deflection board and the SMPS board too. The symptoms of the collapsing picture could be caused by bad solder joints on either of them...

Regards,
