Hi,

no chance to get a picture over HDMI even after several reset.

Changed cables and also device connecting to.

Anyone out there with the same issue?

thanks

I had this happen to a 60GB PS3 (the original offering) after a lightning strike on my neighbor's house. It seemed that any device with a grounded plug suffered, and that suffering was at the HDMI interfaces. I tried everything and in the end was left with an option of either fronting $150 for Sony to repair (they'd just replace the unit), or do without.

Since I had other BD players (currently have 6-7) I decided to turn the f*cking into a doorstop. Its been sitting there for over two years. Or is that 3? BTW, that lightning strike resulted in a dozen homes on my street suffering damage. For me, it was mostly HDMI ports for grounded devices. For instance, the PS3 Slim, which has a groundless plug, wasn't harmed one bit.

I had a ps3 that did that all the time kept on loosing video sync for no aparent reason. I would have to plug in analog cables and go through the video settings again to get it working.
