I have, since this summer, a non working Barco 708S with an IRIS 3 system, and HD144 color filtered lenses, a stellar ceiling mount, HDFury plus GammaX, and an Iscan HD+ unit, that I want to sell. The conundrum is: How the heck do I do that?

I can understand not many being interessted in this old unit, no lights flashing at all no less, but the IRIS 3 unit fits other Barco units and the lenses I know fits a whole range of CRT projectors. The CRT mount can mount all types of Barco projectors and any projector with the same type of rails fitting, or what it is called.

Projector is Barco 708S from 1998. It doesn't start no more. At least one of the sand filled fuses is bust, I broke it myself but that was after the machine didn't start. The tubes are original and well used (the last four years with a PS3 for gaming) at 5-6000e hours but not roasted. There's a "PR1" burnt in the upper left corner and a famous Barco discolored hue along the right side. Everything is original except the lenses, which are colored filtered 144HD lenses in need of proper cleaning. As far as I know none of Mr Palme's mods for Barco's has been done on this unit.

The colored filtered 144HD lenses fits other projectors like the Imager/NEC6pg+ series without any extra attachement.

The IRIS3 system worked very well on this unit so I don't think it was fitted at "factory time" and not retrofitted.

The mount is stellar. It is height adjustable. 360 degree rotational by 90 degrees per time. Fine tuning adjustable angle. You can move the PJ back and forth some and you can move it side to side some. I don't think the last two was by design but none the less it's a feature of the design.

I also have an HDFury and the GammaX and an Iscan HD+ without the SDI.

I know the mount, lenses, and the IRIS3 system is worth some, but apparently shipping the whole unit is not due to shipping and handling being weight related. So the newbie question from is how to I get rid of it all?

I'd definitely part it out. Feel free to post parts in the for sale section here or on eBay. I'd be interested in the HV quadrupler.
