Hello,

I noticed that when I first start up the pj and display the black bars to check black levels, it seems that the luminosity is lower than normal for about 15-20 minutes (not sure exactly). The luminosity level is set to 53 and it looks like 48. After that, it looks fine.
I suspect components which can be "tired" like caps for example. But I don't know on which board I have to look at. I have some spare cards that can be used.
My BG808 has around 12500 hours but has new tubes (500 hours) and Greg's Eisemann modification (HDMI input card, RGB amps...).
Thanks for your help.

These projectors needs about 20-30 minutes to fully warm up and do their best, this is stated in every manual. The phosphor of the tube needs to be warm up too, for example on Sony projectors there is a full white 'warm up' pattern which appears every time you power up the machine, so I think what you noticed is normal.

Ok, you are probably right. I never noticed that before, that is why I was wondering. But I also didn't use black levels screen as well before to start the pj Wink
