i got a new hv lead for my green tube today and need to get the old one of.
what`s the easiest way to do this?

i take it the inside of the bell where the clips from the connector go is conductive?

Use the cheapest siliconekit from a diy store. Cheapest ones have no or fewer additives. Works flawlessly.

Also, I would recommend to order some new HV leads from Curt. I tried transferring old leads to new tubes and this caused problems.
Apart from that cheap silicone works fine.

even voor alle duidelijkheid, die goedkope kit is niet altijd geschikt.
ik zit nu met de ellende omdat sommigen zomaar wat roepen op forums.

5" angle grinder works too. As long as you dont plan on using the lead or tube again

I would clean the glass with a wire brush before glueing in the new lead, get a fresh start with a clean glass surface.
