NOW, I get the 110% full effect of a G90!!! Not saying my G90 wasn't great before, but, with new tubes, the projector moved forward about 12" (Craig and I almost came to blows over installing more uni-strut), new glycol, and full set-up, well, "I'll be dipped in sheep-sh*t!"

This bad boy is over the edge. I really, really mean it.

Craig worked wonders on this projector. Seriously!

Also, I learned some stuff.

I was able to remove the tubes from projector, install new tubes in housing and fill with new glycol. Yeah, don't fricking laugh too hard...........

First time for me. And Craig wasn't even here yet, although it did take me 5 hours................. Heck, it was almost easier than changing tubes on my NEC/RUNCO 6PG Xtra projectors.

The 3D stuff really looks amazing now. Almost, and I mean almost no ghosting! Even the wife says, WOW! Thumbs Up

I also found out that some of the IR commands on the G90 remote can change the color space on the Moome card. Embarassed Embarassed

Funny story. Again, thanks Craig as I thought I had blown a tube.

Glad you are happy Don Smile

I didn't realize we almost came to blows though... I was just thinking about smacking you on the head and saying "let's get this thing moved!!!" Mr. Green But eh, we got it done and it paid off big time.

I need to tune up my own rig big time as it's been more than a year since I last touched it. The last few G90s I've setup look better than my own including yours. It's starting to annoy me Embarassed

As always you and Sandy are the best. Thanks for the hospitality.

Thumbs Up

OF course Don, you'd get it a whole lot more if you stopped referring to the G90 as a 'thingy'. Leave that to the true professionals like Craig! Very Happy

Hey, it's a nice thingy!!! Confused

Mr. Green

Curt, you might get more sales on ebay if you start refering to these as "thingys". Wink

Craig, what was going through my mind was, "HELL NO! I do not want to put up more uni-strut!" Can you say, ANXIETY!!?? Also, your second client that week stopped by today. He said I had a lot more light but, a smaller screen. Ok by me as I aint got much room to get a bigger screen. Thumbs Up

But, you are/were correct. It did help get more light and better focus.

BTW, as for light, heck this thingy is like a flood light on this small screen!

I LOVE IT!!!!!! Focus is tighter than a nats ass!!!

Yeah, your thingy came out blindingly bright and we're not even pushing the thingy hard at all. I measured like 29 flt things coming out of your thingy. That's a lot of flt for a thingy.

I know you were a little anxious about adding more unistrut for your thingy, but this thingy is the last thingy that will ever have to hang up there, so it might as well be the best hung thingy you ever had. I mean no point in not optimizing the thingy when you are on the best thing with new tubes and all!

craigr

p.s. thingy

Oh yeah, this is to be expected. He's got a Marquee thingy and you a G90. G90 is always going to be brighter and better focused when comparing proper setups.

96" diagonal. I think it is 1.3 gain.

Trust me, the thingy it a light cannon!

The main problem before was I was the g90 thingy was close enough to the screen and of course, then not using all of the usable raster thingy.

The biggest difference is noticeable when watching 3D. So much more light and very easy of the eye to watch.

It is sweet!

My wife and I watched Brave 3D last night and I just got done watching Spiderman 3D on my thingy. I have to say these things can really throw a nice 3D picture... not to undercut the regular 2D picture thingy.
