I'm going to build a computer for digital sequencing and recording (DAW). The faster the better, but I don't want to break the bank. I'd like to stay under $1K.
The Intel Core i7-3820 seems to be pretty good bang for the buck: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115229 Is this a good choice?
Need a motherboard, preferably Asus.
I need 8 to 12GB of RAM.
I already have a new 2TB enterprise hard drive, I need an SSD. Totally clueless about them.
Quiet would obviously be good.
Any suggestions?
