Never change a running system, especially not on a rare vacation day:

I had good overall focus at 37 in the focus menu. Then my idea was to deactivate the black box on the focus board that comes with TAN Marquees (Tanorama by Helmut Tan). So I only pulled (with rubber gloves) the board from the Marquee hanging down the ceilling, and then put it back in. I forgot to deactivate the black box via the two dip switches (!!!!), and so I changed nothing. But with the board back in, I lost my center focus like in this topic:

https://www.curtpalme.com/forum_archived/viewtopic.php@t=22271.html

In this post, the Focus Board was faulty. I also need to push focus to 100, to get a medium center focus. But the left an right edge/parts are completly out of focus. No change in the service focus, only center! I did reinitialize the Marquee and did stigmators in service menu, too. Did I kill it just by carefully removing it? Have I returned the three connectors on the Focus board wrong. The conectors have little holes for the counter parts on the boards, so I think there is only one correct position for them. Should I try to rotate the conectors of the cable?

Thanks for your help and ideas

Try going into the service RGB focus and adjust from there to see what the results are. But from what your describing it might be blown
mosfet's. Also check each color for focus individually not all together to see if all or just some focus went out. Then change your internal frequency to see if lower or higher frequencies focus, this will let us know if all or just some of the Mosfet's are bad.

One more thing, check the 1 ohm fusible resistors for each channel. I forgot which they are. I'll have to look it up later or some one else might get to it before me.

Hello

Blue yoke on the front pins, green in the center, red yoke in the back, opposite of the HDM.

I just did most of this with no success or findings of irregularities. Good ideas, thanks!
In a very bad mood I turned the plugs (going to the board) 180 degree, becuase I did not care anymore. So the plugs now sit without the extra fingers holding them in the connector of the board, what looks wrong to me because the plugs have little holes for the fingers of the (board)connectors. But focus is back now!!!! Probably my plugs have the cables wrong in 180 degree, or I am stupid (more likely).

I can smile again, and thanks for the fast oversea replys!

Just for fun try going back again to where the plugs fit correctly. I want to see something.

Do you mean I should test if I loose focus agian and then receive it back?
I did some thinking, could it be that the 100 percent focus adjustment is needed (and no edge focus possible)if the focus board is not installed, not correct installed or defective?
