Play along with this one!
Was testing an SMPS in my test Barco BG808s yesterday. Everything was working fine, then I lost my blue video. It was an issue in the projector, not in the RGB signal. I ignored it. About 2 hours later I lost the green. Then while I was out doing stuff, the set shut down.
Now I can power the set up, it powers up fine, goes through the self test as seen on the controller LEDs. I get raster but no video. No internal menus. Swapped SMPS, no go. Swapped controllers. No go. Swapped video cards, no go.
Am about to set up another BG808s to swap boards into.
Stay tuned, I've never seen this before.

It ended up being a couple of issues. First, the random error lights on the CPU board ended up being due to me test running a plasma TV on the floor next to the 808. Apparently the rear IR was picking up crap, causing havoc with the CPU. It didn't cause any issues with the operation of the 808, but since the set wasn't working in the first place, the error light coming on randomly threw me for a loop.
Second, all three video output boards failed. THey all came from a customer about a year ago, who complained of video noise. I never saw it, but swapped him for the three from this set. I've been running his in this set for a year with no issues off and on, until they decided to die one by one. Three new cards from stock did the trick.
