don't know about Australian prices but, even with 3 brand new tubes, an ES fcous set is a stretch for that kind of money. Then again it's small and cute, if he includes an install and calibration then who am I to judge what it's worth to someone with money to blow

...And a warranty, too. Could be worth a lot more to somebody than it would be to us DIY'ers. Still, I don't see how he's going to get anything remotely like that price.

I can't for the life of me figure out why you guys put so much effort into ragging about the price of something you wouldn't buy anyway. He'll figure it out soon enough when it doesn't sell. Someone here is selling re-capping Marquee boards for more then the projector is worth. How much sense does that make??? Any item or service is only worth what someone is willing to pay. Why don't you rag on Curt for the prices he asks for a Marquee on ebay???

You pretty much summed it up Chip! I did actually sell two G90s for $3500 each on eBay in the last month, go figure.

Why did it not surprise me that when I clicked on that link it turned out to be shonky Steve?

He uses the same wording he has used for other sales, he must have the biggest blend on the planet....no the galaxy with all those projectors being used by him, he probably powers them all from a black hole warp converter too.

They were G90s Curt, the way everyone brags about theirs, who could resist that $3500 pricetag???
Heck, you didn't even have to do the work selling those, they practically sold themselves because of:
SONY™
Its true, I can sell Sony garbage for retail price after its 15 years old because it says Sony

I can do a bit better if the next one that comes in has low wear tubes, but the two currently in stock needed a new green and a new G and B tube respectively, so that takes the price up. Very light 16:9 wear, and I can do $3K. Of course, if you wanted a Runco 1100, I could do $2500.

Nah I have my heart set on a G90, maybe because its the only 9" LCD CRT I have had the luck and pleasure of viewing, maybe because it says SONY, maybe because its "The G90"
Whatever my reason is, it has to be the G90. I couldn't afford one of them high end Barco Split packs you had/have
I'm having an electronics sale this weekend so if I do really good, you may be hearing from me Curt
I woooould take a G90 with worn tubes if you could sharpen that pencil of yours up a bit more, the wear doesn't bother me, I know the tubez and the YA board are the valuable things in the G90s
Hey, you should know I'm cheap. Instead of buying a working AVR-5805 I bought a broken one for $238 Since the MSRP is $6000 on it, you might be able to figure what my price range could be? (j/k)
I actually paid more for my CRT projector than the home theater receiver. But that is irrelavant

THis is one of those 'if you have to ask, you can't afford it' moments.
If I had a minty DTV 1200 here, I"m pretty sure I could get $10K for it. $9 for sure.
