Folks,
I’m dusting off my old Barco Cine 6 for a second small screen front/table. After fastidious physical alignment and basic electrical adjustment, all is working fine except I appear to have some extra, unexpected pincushion - only on the red tube and only bottom left (the bottom left corner is lower and further left than it should be). Do I need to twiddle something on the red neck?
Thanks.

If the electronic convergence adjustments are leaving that area untouched then I would guess the red convergence amp has issues.

Have a look to see there is nothing magnetic sitting in or near the projector, like a screw driver sitting in or beside it..... Which will do it...

Rats. I was hoping I could tweak one of those paddle thingies on the neck to bring it back into line. I can almost correct for it with zone but at nearly max settings (which I don’t like doing).
No magnetics near it and I’ve even run the degausser over the chassis.
Gjaky, the convergence amp to which you refer is where in a Cine 6 – back of the neck or on the main board, somewhere?

Dont touch those unless you know what youre doing!! Read up on what they do first!!
Swap the red and green convergence coil plugs and see what happens.

Noted.

Presumably there's a connection running from each convergence coil (front end of the neck?) to the mobo – swap these between R/G?

Yeah there will be, im not familiar with Barco so i wouldnt know what to tell you, look in the tutorial section and learn as much as you can.
If the issue youre seeing on red moves over to green when you swap the plugs, youll get a better understanding of what might be causing it.
