To build up an EHT test-circuit I look for the connector used on the quad, but cannot find such anywhere.
The connector has 1mm plug pins in a 4mm grid in-line, 8-pole with 4 used.
Does anyone know the manufacturer / type / distributors of this connector?
Thanx

If it helps, I can cut one off an old defective quad. I have lots.

Fine, but I also need the male part located on the printed circuit board.
Can you help me with that, too?
My friend Stefan (revox) had correspondence with you regarding damaged quads in January.
He is going to contact you about that once more, so you can send everything together in one parcel.
Cheers
André

I will need to part out a Barco, as I've never saved that connector. I believe the company is Molex, you should be able to find some new ones on eBay, it's a pretty standard connector.

I have already searched the internet but can´t find any connectors with 4mm grid anywhere.
I have just looked on the Molex-site but havn´t found any matches there either.
So if you have any idea or hint, where I might be successful I would be pleased!

Hi,

I think I have such a connector but I'm currently away from home. I too have a spare quadrupler in order to check that it matches correctly. I can take a look as soon as I'm back home tomorrow...

Hello André,

I came back very late yesterday and didn't find it right away (I'm perfectly sure I have at least one). I will look again today evening and make some photos. I'm located in southern Germany near Munich...

Ok, I've found it!

Although it's not the original one it's usable. I had to cut way the plastic at one side. Therefore, if You want to use it You will have to make sure that You don't connect the quadrupler's cable in reverse.

I will send it to You if You PM me with Your address details...

Regards,
barclay66

Sorry I answer your last post nearly one week later, but I havn´t been informed, that there is a new message from you and have just checked it for the first time after that.
Meanwhile I have found out, that the connector ist produced by AMP/tyco and the type is called MTA-156 (3.96mm grid), available for instance at Farnell. I have ordered a couple of samples that have been delivered yesterday.
I´m sorry you took the time to search for the part and take it out of the board!
But by the way I´m interested to know, what other Barco-parts (expecially EHT-quads and -splitters) you can offer, because my problem is not solved at all - this is only one pre-condition to search for the faults.
Do you have any experiences in troubleshooting on Barco EHT-systems?
If you send me a personal message, we can communicate in German, that may be more useful for us.
Thanx / Danke!
