I have a Electrohome Marquee CRT that no longer works and I want to replace it with a new Epson LCD projector. The BNC cables for the CRT are in the ceiling already and can't be replaced. I'm trying not to buy a wireless HDMI kit. Does anyone know if I can covert those BNC connections for HDMI for connection to the new projector? Also, if so, do your lose the HD picture?

HDMI is 19 pin, you only have 10 conductors to work with in RGBHV, so no.
Plus even if you did have 19 to work with I doubt it would work because HDMI is so flaky.

You have a couple of different options. They will all give you a HD image
Option I
Pre-requisites
1 - If your blu-ray player is not subject to the analog sunset rule, where resolution is limited to 480i over component. This rule applies to any blu-ray player manufactured after 1/1/2012.
2 - Your blu-ray player has component outputs
3 - Your projector has component inputs
blu-ray player -> RCA to BNC adapters -> existing cable (you'll only use 3 cables) -> BNC to RCA adapters -> component input on projector
Of course you could remove the BNC plugs and replace them with RCA plugs. That would eliminate the need for the BNC to RCA adapters
This would be your cheapest route. However, blu-ray players from the past few years have been skimping on the quality of their component video signal path. An older blu-ray player would be a better bet.
Yes, component can pass a HD signal. Maybe not a 3D image though.
Option II.a
Pre-requisites
1 - Your projector has a VGA input
blu-ray player -> HDMI cable -> HDFury -> VGA breakout cable -> line driver -> 5 BNC cable -> VGA breakout cable -> VGA input on projector
You need a line driver, like a NEC ISS switcher, because the HDFury is not designed to send the output signal over long lengths of cable. I happen to have a spare one if you need to buy one.
Option II.b
Pre-requisites
1 - Your projector has a component input
blu-ray player -> HDMI cable -> HDFury (set to output component) -> VGA breakout cable -> line driver -> 5 BNC cable -> BNC to RCA adapters -> component input on projector
Option III
Use a HDMI to coax balun.
You'll need to get power to the balun at the projector.
blu-ray player -> HDMI cable -> balun -> BNC cable (looks like only 1 is needed) -> balun -> HDMI cable -> projector
Here's a few links. The 1st are look to be the same product. The others are manufacturers that might have HDMI to coax baluns.

Looks to be the same product for almost twice the money http://www.smarthome.com/79016/Calrad-40-1096-Remote-Controlled-Switchable-Dual-Input-HDMI-Balun-over-Coax/p.aspx
http://www.calrad.com/ calrad eletronics website
http://www.calradstore.com/40-1096.html info on the balun for the above websites
keydigital.com
gefen.com
extron.com

www.atlona.com
There maybe other options. Other websites (AVSforums, Home Theater Shack, etc.) would be good places to research.

Older Bluray player ( Sony BDP-550 eg )
Component cables------RTC2200-----RGBHV----Projector
No DVD scaling past 480p like this though.

During my brief stint installing sound and video equipment last year, many newer T.V. or projectors would not allow any thing to work if there were any kinds of converters in the mix. HDCP shut the stuff down.

Crap PAW covered it. We had to use those Baluns and special switch boxes to finally get the stuff to work. They were expensive from what I remember. Just like PAW pointed out.
