I just got a free monitor that came with no power supply. It is an NEC Multisync LCD1810, has 5 bnc and 15 pin vga inputs. It needs a 24vdc 2.4a power supply. It has a strange 2 pin round power connector. Anyone got one or know where to get one? I suppose I could change the connector to just about anything, even just hardwire it together. I don't want to put a lot of money into this, the monitor might not even work.

eBay is your friend. Guaranteed they have an original or Chinese made equivalent for cheap.

OK never mind, maybe not. (just checked!) Smile

Still, hard wire the cord in, and get an equivalent supply to power it from eBay.

Yeah, checked Ebay and found a few for 50 bucks from china. The monitor seems kinda cool with multiple inputs and it physically rotates portrait to landscape. Not sure what kind of resolution it is capable of.

I should warn you, I have the same exact monitor, (the PSU is a huge beast itself), this monitor has a 60ms response time, it WILL ghost horribly.

The monitor itself can be bought for next to nothing. It is a 12 year old LCD.

It will display beautifully if all you do is photographs or nothing that moves Smile

Also this monitor supports a native resolution of 1280x1024

Edit: And would you beleive that this monitor retailed for $6000 when it was new? Laughing
