A delivery guy who comes to my Diner drooped off a Advent Granite Sub to look at.

The Volume and cross over pots were dirty and I cleaned them first with Tuner cleaner and the
sub worked for a little while. I shut ti down and came back to it and no go. The signal light on the front
would not show an incoming signal. I dont think the Amps are bad just the inputs. I tried only the line level
not the speaker inputs. The owner said even those did not work so I didn't bother.

I cant find schematics anywhere or even info on this sub besides on a few forums.

I dont think its worth it to fix but you know how people are.

Any leads guys?

Athanasios

There should be a model number on it somewhere.

I looked all over the cabinet and found nothing.

I have the amp on the bench and will get any serial numbers but I did not see any other
model numbers etc. maybe I over looked it, i'll check when I get home from work.

Ok It is a B2R series on the inside of the amp on the aluminum plate/heat sink are these stckers:

IJI

3701 44 971

the Amp board is: 02-01474-02

Volume/cross over board: 02-01567-01

Input board: 02-01566-01

I think it has to be something on the Input board:

There is a switch that has on, auto and off. in off the led on the front is green, if in auto or on its yellow.

I do not have the remote for it.

No good on any prints. You'll have to shoot from the hip. If you get stuck let me know and I'll give you some direction.

All the caps seem fine, There are a few transistors etc on the input board I'll have to test those next.

I'll try to take some pics of the input board later and post.

Thanks mac

You may want to test the speaker just to make sure it's ok.

it is, it was playing before. I had it runing and the signal indicator was lit. I shut it down and went to turn it on again with in a few minuts and no go. No signal indicator light. Just the power light. Changing the switch for on,auto, off changed the led color from yellow, yellow, green respectively.
