Hi guys I am doing some troubleshooting as I cannot get rid of my thicker lines on my pj, one cause may be that I put some black wires the wrong way around when moving stuff.

If someone can have a look at their 3600/4600 and confirm which way the orientation is and tell me that would be great!

There are 2 wires leading from the focus board on J1 and J2 they lead to the board under the power supply board on my 4600, I have sent pictures, they lead to pins J1 and J3.

On one side of the black lead/wire it says amp, can anyone tell me if this side should be facing away from or towards the little supporting tabs which are marked in red and green and is it the same on both boards your help is really appreciated, thanks guys.

The supports are marked in red and green on both boards and its a 2 pin connection which the wires go into.

macgyver655 has macgyvered all the problems I had with my PJ, this projector was dropped by the shipping company so I am lucky just to have tubes that are running.

I had 3 major problems and he fixed them all, I will detail them soon so if anyone else has the same problems they can use it as a reference, the wires have dots on them or are worded saying amp. Now the dotted side faces the supporting side of the pins, thats it. With the ampro everything else can only go in one way or its obvious.

Thumbs Up

Does your projector work with the wires connected that way? I took it that the dots should show also but now I'm starting to wonder.

No point being pessimistic; it probably would't work anyway.

Mine worked great until the battery died. Then the blue neck board cracked one of it's resistors which made the tube run full power and set off an alarm. Got that fixed and the red wouldn't shut off completely . Tried swapping red and green boards to see if the problem stayed or moved; bent 2 pins on the green tube. My neck won't bend that way for long so I moved the projector to the floor and flipped it over. Stefuel strongly recommended that I try adjusting the blanking before I went any farther. Turned on the red tube and it runs flat out for a couple seconds then goes into alarm. Scratching my head why so many problems all at once. The only thing that changed was I got new woofers. Maybe the Ampro doesn't like vibration or maybe I'm just really unlucky at the moment. A hobby is nice to have but I'd like to spend some time watching too.

For mounting I set 2 parallel lengths of unistrut into the ceiling so moving to the floor is a one man operation that takes an afternoon. This mounting offers adjustment in all directions.
