OH NO! I accidently turned the Contrast pot instead of the Gamma pot on V2 internal ehome card. I know it has to be set @ .7v but how and where do I take readings. Can I use a scoping meter or only an o-scope?

Thanks, and stop laughing.javascript:emoticon('Crying or Very sad')

Marquee of some flavor.

I did that too. I never did find out how to get .7 volts, but I did adjust it while I had the DVE test disc in and display the video black screen and re adjusted it to be black. It was black so I guess I have it close enough.

I think the only way to be 100% sure is to do it is with an extender board. I don't know where to get one though.

if its a marquee you can remove the rca from the VNB and measure the center pin while a full white field is on.

Yes it is a 8500 marquee, I just got a response from Moome and he said I would need an external box to power the VIM outside projector and read voltage on the DAC... A.. Yeah ... OK.... that's what I thought'Confused I saw those little point of use oscilloscopes but don't know if that would be any good as it would just probably just read RMS voltages. Not sure. I like the idea of reading it from the green neck board but again that would not be peak to peak voltage. If you set the pot would it EVER need to be adjusted again? why have the pot on it then?
Just typing out loud here. Laughing

Thanks guys,
Steve

I just got a reply from Moome. If anyone wants to know how to check the contrast voltage, here is the answer.

Steve;
It is the testing kit that we are doing calibration.

You can solder two tiny wire each to C215 two node, and measure these two node with a voltage meter, the value should be 0.86~0.88V

Let me know if you need more information.

Well, with the help of my good buddy MP I now have a way to adjust the contrast properly.

Thanks Mike and HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone
