I remamed the thread to get some attention. I was never aware that VDC owned the Sony tube plant in Japan. This company does, after the VDC aqusition so to me this holds hope.

good, it would be nice to someday get brand spanking new tubes for my XG PJ, then never use them! Though if I upgrade to a barco 9" or a G90 I hope I won't need any tubes, my luck with CRT as far as the tube condition goes is usually in the crapper for like new tubes, but I will admit they are at least usable, not toast. Very Happy

They offer some very interesting phosphors. I have several new LQF's with beam collapse that would be perfect for rebuild because they have less than 150 hours on them. I would have all three redone with green phosphors instead of RGB.

Let us know what you hear.

you mean spot burn? Spot burned tubes cannot be re-built because the glass itself is melted where the beam collapsed.

What if it is just a vertical colapse??

Ive got a few used NEC tubes here, can these be rebuilt still?? Can the colours be actually changed during this process?? Cause i have a red with a burn mark on it but then what do i need 2 spare reds for anyway eh....
