shown here is a very late version ultra hdm (vdc) with some fixes.
can anyone tell me what these fixes are for.

There are two fixes there. One involves adding a larger heatsink and snubber network to the horizontal sweep supply switching transistor. There were some problems with running the sets at the 93kHz rate that alot of the simulator people use.
The other adds a little negative feedback to the linear width regulator circuit. It makes the sides "straighter" reducing the slight "s" shape that is normally there.
