THe HD is a later unit, and I believe that tse said something about the H timings being different. Operationally I don't think there's any difference.

The HD will allow selection of the short retrace (<2.8us) between 30 and 48kHz. The regular 4600 switches to short retrace > 48kHz only. This worked better for 1080i which was alot more common than 1080p way back then.

Thanks Scott, I guess it would have been useful back then but not so much now then.

I know I had H shift issues at 1080p and 720p with the 4600. I thought at first it was just with the earlier models, but then I got in a late model Elite chassis that they put together after Ampro went under, and the H shift issues were there as well.

The latest Moome box with the H shift button worked perfectly though.

Scott told me about this problem in this thread Curt:

I dont have the ability to do change the mosfets in the H board so the retrace time could be shorter, so I took the easy way and changed my Nvidia settings with Scott and Denis helping. This means however I am pushing my bandwidth even more, you any good at changing out mosfets Curt!? I think extra power would be needed to get it all going if I remember right I can hunt the email down.
