My setup includes a pair of XGLC's in a TVOne blend. In order to get an invisible blend zone you have to have both projectors with nearly identical CMS/gamma/grayscale so I have been using a pair of VideoEq's for calibration. While this has given me 98% success, the bottom end of low IRE's still gives me problems.

So - I soon as I heard about the new EyeOne DisplayIII's capability at low light levels, I ordered one along with Chromapure standard.

My goal is to start with the weakest of the two projectors and do a full calibration utilizing the VideoEq's capability of multipoints at 0,2,4,6,8,10,15,20......IRE.

THEN - I would like to use whatever values I end up with on this first projector as "target" values for the second one.

Is there a way to set up a temporary target like this, or I am just going to have to printout the results of the first one and do it manually?

Curious about physical operating environment and how that can begin to (if not already) have an effect on sub-10 IRE measurements. Is your room a pseudo black hole (sans uber gravity)?

I am fortunate enough to have total light control in the room, and the screen wall is flat black - But that is not the reason for my need of excellent grayscale and gamma at those low values. In my blend, on certain very low light scenes, the blend zone will become noticeably darker than it should be. While this can be somewhat corrected by the overall gamma adjustment of the blendzone control in the TVOne's, it will then sacrifice at brighter light levels. Since I have been unable to control things at the very low levels due to inadequate sensors, I'm hoping that this new sensor can get me much closer, if not perfect.
