I have never paid more than 500 bucks for a receiver . For the most part works good.
But during movies , when there is no action , Just dialog . I set the volume so you can hear them correctly.Then when the action comes back on.
It runs you out of the room. Of coarse with four sub In the room ,needless to say were shacking the nabors window.
I'v tried setting the receaver on midnight mode and It helped a little but not much .
any input would be good.

Have you calibrated the audio? That's step #1.

yes only by a ear of coarse, and the old trusty tape measure. The only real problem I have Is the deafening over all volume when action seans are prevalent.
The real question is spending big dollars on a quality sound processer fix this or have movies just evolved this way
