I have the install manual and I think I have tried everything. I should be able to press "test" to get patterns, I get "not Applicable". It almost seems like a lockout mode, I have tried on the projector controls and using the remote hardwired with a mono audio patch cable. I have a very useable image, but I would rate it at 80% and as we know that will not do.

If I am overlooking something simple I apologize... I am just befuddled.

Make sure the 'status' is 'on'. Hold down the 'test' button for at least 5 seconds or until you're prompted to get into the service menu.

wow, I truly thank you Curt. I pressed the test button but recieved the "not applicable" message and thought lock out. That and my five seconds seems shorter than Sonys five seconds. I think this will get me going.

Thank you again.
