So I went over to collect a check from the customer with the shaking DWIN 700 that I posted about about a month ago, and to demo the Moome card with his BluRay as compared to Svideo out to a Faroudja line doubler.
So, figure this one out:
The Faroudja has an RGBHV passthrough that the original company used for his old bootleg Dish Network HD receiver that had an RGB output. I set the Moome box to negative sync (tested with a DWIN at my shop), connected the HDMI BR output to the Moome box, and used a VGA male to male to plug into the Faroudja passthrough.
Turned everything on, and was rewarded with a pix that was out of H sync slightly. The pix was there, but in H lines. Svideo via the Faroudja doubler worked fine.
It took me about 20 minutes to figure out what was wrong. Wanna guess?

You were working on it
Or the scan rate was to high for it?

You nailed it. After changing every cable about three times, bypassing the Faroudja, I realized that the stupid Samsung was probably defaulted to 1080p, and the DWIN can only scan to 64Khz. Sure enough, switch to 1080i, and everything looked great.
Despite the HDMI signal looking better than the Faroudja at 480p via Svideo, I couldn't help but marvel how good the Faroudja looked, considering it was 12 years old..
