I don't even know where to begin!?!?!
I had allready posted about an issue where the machine was losing it's convergence randomly. Well... that hadn't happend for a few weeks now, so I went through, deleted all the blocks as per suggestion and did the entire set-up rigermarole which is a real pain. refocused, keystones, skews bows convergence, everything. when I was done, I could not exit out of the final convergence. I got desperate and turned the machine off. turned it bacl on and got nothing but some Barco trademark like thing with the seriel number and all. couldn't get that to go away until it did so by itself. then blank screen. then I hit menu and it was back to that final convergence block screen and it was all messed up. when I looked at the source, it was back to some PAL hertz thing instead of the 33.7/60 i had used. I also cant get any source to show up on it. the timing is a nightmare. besides being in the middle of a divorce, I have an event coming up. I feel like I've had nothing but problems with this machine since buying it two years ago.
PLEASE HELP. I AM LOSING IT.

This really sounds like controller board issues, which are really rare. The IR commands, menus and memory are all stored on the controller board.
I've got spares, but am out of town for 2 weeks until the 22nd. Can ship after that if you need one.

ALso, it's possible but unlikely that the quad decoder or RGB switcher board is bad. THe BArco logo will come up if the set sees no input signal, but I'm leaning towards the controller board.

It's also possible that I'm just a complete idiot with these things as well. I don't recall having seen the Barco logo come up before as well. but that isn't saying much. Thanks again for your pateince.

Hi,
as far as I've seen it it's normal for the logo coming up when the PJ doesn't find a valid input signal at startup. You might check that with the LED indicators on the control board. In this case the LED for "Block match" will be not lit.
In addition to what the other contributors posted I would suggest checking/reseating the controllers connectors and socketed chips...
Regards,
