My chain has now some new components.
Two HD/3D sources : SKY HD/3D SATELLITE RECEIVER and OPPO BDP 3D 95.
All the sources come into the Lumagen XS 3D+.
The Lumagen output goes into the nw Lumagen CRT 3D DRIVER BOX (that is connected to a IR 3D GLASSES EMITTER)and this output goes into the MOOME VIM MP FULL HD V3 on the Marquee.

The Lumagen 3D configuration are AUTO1,2 for 3D output for both the sources-

The results are in these images:

FOR THE OPPO

FOR THE SKY HD RECEIVER

Can anyone help me to understand what and where is the problem?
Is the Moome card enabled to receive this input?

Thanks

Vincenzo

Vincenzo, I believe you need to do a firmware update on the Radiance. I think thats one of the bug fixes (side by side picture and occasional picture loss).

is there a switch for pal and ntsc.
do you need to set the 3d mode in the 3d radiance?
on the moome there isn`t much you can do.

just guessing here.

Thanks guys!
Partially I have found a solution.
Infact Moome have found that I need to select output type on the Lumagen as FSync.
So I have chosen the 720p120Hz and FSync type and the image is displayed.
Thanks

Depending on your source, you may have to force the Radiance into 3D mode. On mine, when watching 3D from a hard drive via my OPPO 93, I have to put the Radiance into 3D mode by pressing <menu>030 so it isn't displayed side by side. To take it out of this mode, I have to press <menu>031. I only have to do this when watching 3D from my hard drive. If I just throw a 3D Blu Ray disc into the OPPO, I don't have to do anything.

Hope this helps!

You cannot use 3D auto mode on the output for the Lumagen with a CRT projector. You must set the 3D output to FRAME-SEQUENTIAL (FSeq) as there is nothing in the Moome EDID to instruct the Lumagen to use FS.

You will be perfect after this.

Also for your SKY box you will need to do as Doc says and manually instruct the lumagen that your SKY is sending Side-By-Side. Your SKY is sending regular 1080p or 720p as this is why you can see the two images next to each other. This is not the fault of the Lumagen but is the fault of the SKY box. If you had a Samsung flat panel you would also have to manually set the 3D mode.

However, Doc has the codes wrong...

Auto mode = "menu-0-3-0" (also for frame packed)
SBS = "menu-0-3-1"
TB (top-bottom) = "menu-0-3-2"

However, TB is not yet supported by the Lumagen for FS output mode. This will be supported in a soon to come later firmware.

Kind regards,

craigr

This occurs when the SOURCE does not send the 3D flag indicating that it is sending 3D video. This flag is in the info frame. The flag is missing because the source is not actually a 3D device, but it is a good compromise because otherwise you would not get 3D at all Wink

My dear friends,
thanks, many thanks.
With your help I have probably solved my problem.
I have found what I couldn't found before: the quick keys on the Radiance menù.
So I have selected SbyS and I have chosen the 720p 120Hz output for the 3D satellite input.
Now I have only problem on the emitter. But this is a question to work with the 3dmagic folk.

Thanks all

Be sure to modify the 720p 120Hz mode that is in the Lumagen outputs menu to customize and reduce ghosting. The timings in the default mode are ones that I gave Lumagen very early on in the project and they are veryyyyyyyyyyyyyy far from optimal. You will need to add a lot of vertical blanking and increase the clock rate to match.

Kind regards,
craigr

Thanks Craig,
Your the man Thumbs Up

PS: I thought something simple was up with pezzettino setup as he is running pretty much the same
setup as you, Sence I have 2 g70s I might give passive A go if I can get out of it reasonably cheap but not sure if
my Studio tek 130 G1 will be any good..

Hello Craig,
I have the OPPO BDP 95 that output as 3D 1080P AUTO24fps and then output from Radiance as 720p 120Hz. When I chose this resolution and display the crosshatch grid of the Marquee I see much ghost effect on the left and right side of the screen. You say that I can reduce this effect working on the Radiance timings. How I can operate these adjustments?
Man, many thanks

P.S.
I need to say thank you publickly the 3DTV and 3DMAGIC crew. Only yestarday I explane them my problems and in the same time they have shipped me the solution.
