|
|
Hey guys, I have my 9PG Xtra in place of my XG1100 until I purchase a new one. Its all set up and looks crispy new.
The only thing that I am unsure of is how to increase the image width within the raster? Increasing the Horizontal Width on the deflection board just does the raster which is already wide enough.
Also for an 84" screen about how far should the projector be back from the screen using HD-144 lenses. My guess is it should be back a bit further than what I have it placed at, however I have a wall thats in the way and it cannot go back any further, hence me asking about increasing the image width within the raster.
Any help appriciated

Couple of things to keep in mind...The Raster can be larger than the image depending of the timing your using. You should remove the lense to see how close to the edges the raster is. In any case you do not want the raster to go past the edges of the tube...If it does it could cause the tube to overheat and crack. I don't know about PG's but XG's have a strick procedure to follow when setting raster width. You must follow it or the life of the projector will be compromised.

You have to change your display timings to stretch your image to the raster.

Thanks for the reply guys,
As for the raster being close to the edges of the tubes that isn't the case here, they are about 5/8" away from the right and left edges and much further away height wise.
I guess I will have to break down eventually and buy a scaler because Im currently using my xbox 360 directly to the PJ. I figured I would hear something about timings regarding this...
what would be some decent affordable 720p scalers?
