|

I've been away from the home theater scene for the past 4 years due to the birth of my daughter (she's 3 now ) and building an addition on our house. Now I've caught the bug and want to slowly get back to enjoying my living room's home theater setup. It's a small space, but I did a lot of custom work that I like. The electric screen is hidden above the ceiling as well as the Marquee 8000 that is lowered with a SRS lift.
Unfortunately when I set everything up, it was right before the age of "HDMI" or "Blu-ray". So now I'll be adding a moome card to the Marquee 8000 and purchasing a Blu-ray player to replace my aging HTPC.
I want to use the Marquee 8000 to display from these three sources: a Blue-ray player, Apple TV and a Dish network 722 satellite receiver. Yet I still want to view the same sources on our living room's 40" Sony Bravia HDTV so I think I'll need a video processor with 2 HDMI outputs. In particular, I don't want to simply add a new satellite receiver to the mix because it would be nice to view previously recorded DVR content on either the small set or the Marquee 8000.
Would the iScan duo be an option that would play nicely with the Marquee 8000?
Should I start saving my pennies for a new RadianceXS 3D?
Or are there any other solutions I should consider?
Thanks,
James

the duo will be fine . If you do not want a cms you could go with an dvdo edge.
HOwever neither the duo or the edge allow custom timings or refresh rates just standard hdtv resolutions out.

I've been reading and reading, but some things I haven't quite got caught up on.
I know the Dish network 722k receiver is set to output 1080i and I think that is the best the Marquee 8000 can do. However, I haven't been able to determine the 722k receiver's refresh rate. Does anybody here know?
Besides having a video processor act as glorified HDMI switcher, I'm trying to learn what refresh rates will work best with the Marquee 8000 before I start spending on new hardware. I don't want to invest in the iScan duo if I'll still be missing out on any custom settings that would better suit what the Marquee 8000 is capable of. Maybe this would be better asked in the "CRT forum", but can anyone tell me what the Marquee 8000's sweet spot will be for displaying 1080i material?
Thanks for your help,
James

everything is always 60hz in NTSC or 50HZ in pal except if its 1080p then it can be 24hz or 60hz in ntsc or 25 or 50hz in pal
